What are the traditions, products, and culinary customs of authentic Polish cuisine? What part of this heritage is preserved in the collective consciousness in the United States? Monika Kucia invites you to explore an immersive labyrinth of designed experiences, a tasting workshop, a feast, and stories around the Polish Table.

A recipe is not just a set of instructions. It is also a secret conveyed in trust, a memory of taste, a hint given as an act of kindness. Polish Table seeks to explore how recipes, products, and family stories travel through a maze of flavors, smells, and sensations, activating all your senses.

Through this modern ritual, audience members will plunge into the world of nature and culture, bask in smells, tastes, and emotions, and be inspired to create and share their own stories. Part exhibition, part performance, and part dinner, Polish Table aims to educate, surprise, entertain, and bring people closer together through a celebration and exploration of Polish culinary traditions.

Curator and culinary journalist (, designer of culinary trips and study visits, Kucia is an ambassador for Polish regional products to the world, organizer of cultural, artistic and educational events.

Dr. Parasecoli is a Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies at NYU, currently conducting  research in Poland regarding traditional, local and regional cuisine.

Designer of public spaces, interiors, exhibitions, architecture, furniture and lighting. Murlak is an Associate Professor at Pratt Institute, School of Design, Industrial Design Department. Co-creator of the Designlab Studio.

A native of Podlasie in the east of Poland, a true believer in the cuisine of her region, Chef Joanna Jakubiuk is a master in the art of dumplings, potato dishes, preserves, and reconstructing old recipes.



Agnieszka Rudzińska is a cultural manager and producer, and a facilitator of cultural start-ups.
