FOOD IS CULTURE

FLAVOR is now closed

Thank you to everyone who embarked on a sensory journey with us at  Flavor: The World to Your Brain. To all the brave and curious folks who slurped spicy, smelled skunk, and blindly tasted jelly beans, we salute you!

But don't worry - it's not a bitter goodbye! We will reopen our DUMBO space in the late Fall with our new exhibition on the history of street food in NYC. Stay tuned for more info and learn more about how you can support us below!

Street Food is Culture.

MOFAD’s next exhibition celebrates the city’s smallest food businesses, revealing the hidden world behind the iconic NYC food cart, recognizing the ways in which street food vendors and the foods they sold have shaped the city’s foodways, and tracing the challenges faced by street food entrepreneurs of the past to today’s fight for vendor rights.

But to bring this exhibition to life, we need your support! Every donation brings us closer to sharing this quintessential New York City story and honoring the people who have fed the city for generations. Donate today and help MOFAD tell the rich history of NYC street food.
