Overview
STREET FOOD IS CULTURE
Do you eat street food? If so, you’re like most people around the world. No matter your background or where you live, street food is an important and delicious part of food cultures the world over.
.To complement its exhibition, Street Food City, MOFAD is partnered with the renowned World Food Photography Awards sponsored by Bimi®, the leading global celebration of food photography, to showcase an exhibition of curated selection of images from past competitions, capturing vibrant and personal stories of street food vending across the world. These award-winning works - moving, witty, surprising - in their first-ever New York outing, were displayed at the Empire Stores Gallery in the lobby of 55 Water Street from December 2, 2025 - January 11, 2026. A selection photos can be viewed below.
The World Food Photography Awards celebrate the best in food and drink photography through an annual, global competition. Based in the United Kingdom, this is the first time images from the Awards have been shown in the United States.
