World Food Photography Awards

Overview
STREET FOOD IS CULTURE
Do you eat street food? If so, you’re like most people around the world. No matter your background or where you live, street food is an important and delicious part of food cultures the world over.
Enjoy these powerful photos that capture vibrant street food culture from around the world and celebrate the people, flavors, and traditions that make it unique.
The photos featured in this showcase were co-curated by the World Food Photography Awards and the Museum of Food and Drink (MOFAD) to complement Street Food City, MOFAD’s latest exhibition, which celebrates generations of New York street food entrepreneurs and the dishes they have introduced as an iconic part of the city’s cultural and culinary landscape. The photos shared on this page and many, many more can be viewed live throughout the lobby of Empire Stores at 55 Water Street in Brooklyn, NY, where MOFAD is located (2nd floor) from December 2, 2025 through January 11, 2026.
The World Food Photography Awards celebrate the best in food and drink photography through an annual, global competition. Based in the United Kingdom, this is the first time images from the Awards have been shown in the United States.
